Want SANTA to come down your chimney tonight?

8 12 2011

Cerise DeLand is taking over the blog today. Enjoy!

Remember that sultry Eartha Kitt song? SANTA, BABY, is just what Susanna Corrigan craves for the Holidays! (Me, too!) This is one grrrreat fun-filled holiday song that I cannot stop singing. Here are a few stanzas so that you can be just as crazy mad for this happy song as I am:

Santa baby, just slip a sable under the tree, for me
Been an awful good girl
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa baby, a ’54 convertible too, light blue
I’ll wait up for you dear Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight…”

SANTA, CUTIE  by Cerise DeLand: A holiday tale of great expectations!

Susanna Corrigan believes in Santa Claus. Always did. So a Christmas-time flight to Alaska for a one night stand with a man chosen for her is a perfect gift. Fun and great sex with Mr. Right Now fits her bill for no strings, no commitments. Then hunky Gil Santana laughs with her, buys her dinner and take her dancing–and Susanna asks herself if she can resist the temptation to make Gil more than a temporary affair.

Need a nibble of my cherry? Of course, you do!

Gil Santana promised himself one more lap in the pool before he treated himself to lunch and for a chaser, a snifter of Armagnac. He extended his arm in the pool, ready to push off once more, but his eyes snagged on movement at the far doors. His gaze glued to the perfect vision who walked through them and his mouth fell open.

Through the ladies’ spa entrance came a female who took his breath away. The way she walked. Like a queen. The way she pushed back her shoulder-length hair into a ponytail and rubbed her hands together in glee like a kid eager to jump in the creek on a hot summer day. She was, undoubtedly, the most beautiful woman he’d seen here at the resort or in fact, anywhere.

Even in Hollywood.

Hey, Santana, that is the plan, man. You’re here to find a woman who isn’t like the aggressive types in Los Angeles. So what if this one strikes you as….

Luscious.

He blinked. She strolled to a lounge chair and inched out of her flip-flops.

Five-five or so. Red hair. Lush, wavy hair the color of merlot. Never-from-a-bottle, intoxicating red hair. Oval face. Dark eyes. Damn! What color?

She looked around. Didn’t spot him, thank goodness. Then she smiled to herself. Padded over to the shallow end, stuck her toes in the water, and grinned.

He swallowed hard and didn’t make a move. He wanted to enjoy her. She shook back her hair and pulled at the bottom of her suit. Snapped it beneath the crease of her gorgeous, firm ass and took the steps down slowly into the water. She was quite incredibly lovely.

Quite incredibly built.

Madre Mia. With breasts. Half moons. Nipples pebbled beneath the white spandex of her conservative, one-piece suit. Hips like God should give all women. And thighs. Trim. Knees. Cute. Long, long, long legs.

Down boy. His cock did not obey. And Gil had to agree with the big guy. This woman was worth the salute.

Stop it, Santana. You act like a drooling teenager.

Yeah, but, wow, did he hope she was his for this 1Night Stand thing.

How could she be?

Yeah, true.

She looks exactly like the type you don’t want. She looks like a wannabe movie star who’ll do anything to get a part. Including wearing a sign, Casting Couches R Us.

Quick update….

18 11 2011

Just wanted to post a quick link to a guest blog I’m doing over at Valerie Mann’s page.

STop by and check it out!

http://valeriemann.blogspot.com/2011/11/find-your-soul-mate.html

And we’re back!

14 11 2011

I can’t tell you how nice it is to get a note from someone saying they liked Soul Mate! Those are the moments authors really get giddy. So thank you!

I’ve also had the question about when the next book is coming out – I’m hoping the Dare will get picked up soon, since I’ll be sending it out this week on submission.

There is also another book set in the same “world” as Soul Mate, with new characters that (I hope) you’ll love. That one is still in the process of being written.

And there’s the scifi. Which is now two different scifi stories. And a third has been popping into my head at inappropriate moments. I don’t know why scifi has become so prevalent all the sudden, but I’ll go with it. At least for now.

In the meantime, I have to get ready for Thanksgiving. Its crazy how close the holidays are coming. I’m so not ready for it!

Stay tuned, by the way. There will be several guests coming to stop by the blog over the next couple months!

So much to do, so little time….

3 11 2011

Sadly, I cannot participate in NANO this year. I’m too busy working on other things, and my Muse tends to enjoy shorter stories than 50,000 words. (Not that we won’t get there someday….)

But The Dare is nearly finished! This story is taking me a long time to get rid of. Not really sure why….

I’ve also been hard at work on a scifi, but I am at a standstill for the moment. Do I go for a menage, or stick with one man…. decisions, decisions….

What’s been taking up the majority of my time has been none of this, actually. Its been because I need to do promo and marketing for Soul Mate. But I kind of stink at it. So I’ve been making lists and trying to send it out for reviews. This is harder than it looks! Hopefully I’ll have some fun things to post soon in regards to guest blogs and such. So keep your eyes peeled!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Six Sentence Sunday #5

30 10 2011

Hello!  For anyone who hasn’t heard of it, Six Sentence Sunday is where authors post six sentences from their work for your enjoyment!  Please make sure you visit the Six Sentence Sunday site and check out the other awesome authors!

My entry is from Soul Mate, which came out on the 25th from Decadent Publishing! Enjoy!

Funny, but I was more afraid of her words than of the prospect of dying. If she chose to walk away, dying would be a relief.

Sunlight streaming through the windows washed her face in gold and amber, her lashes dark crescents on her cheek. Her hair was everywhere, caught in the stubble on my chin, and underneath us in the bed. Like being bound in silk.

This small, delicate creature made me realize I had a heart.

Make sure you check out the other entries!

Or here’s the official blurb and excerpt!

Blurb:
After her friend buys her a date from Madame Evangeline’s 1Night Stand service, Nora isn’t sure she can go through with it. Especially when she sees her date walk in. He’s way out of her league in more ways than just looks.

Angus MacInnes knows his time as Enforcer of his vampire clan is slowly driving him mad. When his brother sent him on a date, he assumed it would be a bust from the beginning. He didn’t expect to find the one woman he’s been hoping would appear for the last few centuries.

But can a vampire Enforcer smooth his rough edges enough to convince Nora that they’re Soul Mates?

Excerpt:

“I don’t think I can do this.” I clutched my cell phone in one sweaty palm.

“Nora. Take a deep breath.” My best friend, Anna, laughed in my ear. “I bought you this so you could have a good time. Who knows? Maybe you’ll meet Mr. Right?”

Yeah. Sure. “I don’t belong here, Anna. I’m not rich. This guy’s going to get all the wrong ideas about me.”

Anna went silent on the other end for a moment, and then her breath blew static into the phone. I flinched at the noise. “Stop being ridiculous. Get out of the car and go meet him. Have a fling. You’ve been single forever, and I’m trying to fix that.”

Almost against my will, I opened the car door. “Just because wedded bliss agrees with you doesn’t mean it needs to be thrust it on everyone else. I am perfectly content as I am.”

She seized on the word as soon as she heard it. “Exactly. Content. You should be happy. Content is for old women with forty cats.”

“All right.” I took a deep breath and released it slowly. “I agreed to this. And I can back out of the whole thing after dinner if I want to.” She sighed into the phone. “But it doesn’t matter, because I’m going to be totally wild for one night. I can do this.”

“That’s my girl. Knock him dead.” She giggled again. “I so wish I could be there. But call and let me know how it turns out!”

“Sure. Talk to you later.”

She hung up, and I tossed the phone into the small, beaded clutch I’d brought. I dug out the crumpled printout of Madame Eve’s email and reread the instructions again.

Go to the Castillo Hotel and Resort Washington DC. Inside is the Skyline Grill. Give the waiter your name, and he will seat you in the proper place. If you arrive before your companion, please relax. Have a drink, and enjoy yourself. The rest is up to you.

I hope you take a look. And I will look forward to awarding a winner on the 26th at noon!  🙂
